Special Background Checks – What You Need to Know
Some background checks fall under “Special Checks”, which are restricted and can only be performed by certain government-authorised bodies. These checks are essential for roles involving vulnerable individuals, national security, or Commonwealth-specific compliance.
👶 Working With Children Checks (WWCC)
Important: AuthNTick does not provide Working With Children Checks (WWCC).
WWCCs can only be conducted by authorised Working With Children Screening Units, as identified in the Intergovernmental Agreement for the National Exchange of Criminal History Information for People Working with Children (ECHIPWC).
👉 If you're applying for a role that requires a WWCC, please get in touch with your local Screening Unit or police agency directly. We can assist any organisation in the verification of such checks
♿ NDIS Worker Screening Checks
Important: We do not offer National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Checks.
These checks are only available through authorised NDIS Screening Units. If you’re applying for an NDIS-related role, you must obtain the correct check through the designated Screening Unit. We can assist any organisation in the verification of such checks
📢 Please note: While we offer National Police Checks (NPCs), they do not meet the official screening requirements for NDIS clearance. Our website and materials clearly state this to avoid confusion. We can assist any organisation in the verification of such checks
🛡️ National Security Checks
National security checks are strictly limited to Australian Government organisations and are used for roles or clearances under Commonwealth legislation.
AuthNTick is authorised to perform national security checks for AFP Police Clearances.
